The
Visible Human™
dataset offers a vast resource of mutually registered three-dimensional
data of the human anatomy. Methods to fully explore and analyze this
data are few in number. CIeMed's main goal was the complete segmentation
and volume visualization of this large
dataset. We have segmented the data into over 550 anatomical regions
spanning the various bodily systems (central nervous, digestive, respiratory,
skeletal, muscular, etc.) and integrated the resulting labeling with
partitioned color volume rednering.
